What are the Requirements for pool fence in New Jersey?

To be compliant and to code, a homeowner must have a property fence enclosing the property in New Jersey. If you do not have a property fence, then installing a pool fence can help bring your backyard up to code. If the pool fence is a secondary fence to a property/perimeter fence, then there are no requirements. Always check with your local City/Town to get the correct code information.

How safe is the mesh pool fencing?

The mesh pool fencing uses the strongest industrial mesh available. It is constructed with Textilene® polyester mesh fabric, and is woven with a continuous basket weave that boasts an incredible tensile strength rating of 270 lbs. per inch making it impossible to rip under normal use.

How high should my pool safety fence be in my New Jersey home?

In New Jersey State, residential swimming pools must be entirely enclosed by a wall, fence or other type of barrier that meets the following specifications:

  • The barrier must have a minimum height of five feet
  • Openings in the fence must prevent a sphere-shaped object of four inches in diameter from passing through
  • The fence must not contain any openings, handholds, or footholds that are accessible from the exterior side of the enclosure which can be used to climb the structure
  • The barrier must be a minimum of 20 inches from the edge of the water

What is the benefit of installing a self-closing, self-locking pool gate?

Pool gates undergo thousands of openings and closings over the course of its lifetime, which means it is one of the most important components of your pool fence. A self-closing, self-latching pool gate is automatic and provide better protection for your pool.

Is the fence sturdy? Can my child pull or push it down?

What can I expect on the day of installation?

Once you contact us to schedule your free estimate, we will come out to your home and measure your pool to determine the best configuration for your new pool fence. On installation day, we will review everything to ensure it all looks right and once we have your final okay, you will have your new pool fence installed in just a matter of hours!

What options are available with your pool fence?

Our pool fence is offered in a variety of styles and colors including black, brown, green, tan, and white, with custom color combinations available. They can be 42, 48, or 60 inch heights and with additional upgrade options available. Keep in mind however that regardless of color or upgrade option, we only sell one grade fence – which is the safest around.

Is the fence easy to take down once it’s installed? We only need it when family members with children are over.
